Difference between Serial Printer (Character Printer) and Line Printer

SN	Serial Printer (Character Printer) and Line Printer: We known broadly the printers are of two types Impact Type and Non-Impact Type. And in Impact types of Printers again printers are of Two Types (1) Serial Printer and Line Printer.
	Serial Printer (character printer)	Line Printer
1	These printers are known as character printer because these printers print the data character by character.	These printers can print many character at once
2	Speed of these printers is measured in CPS (Characters Per Second)	Speed of these printers are measured in LPM (Lines Per Minute) or LPS (Lines Per Second)
3	These printers are comparatively low cost printers.	High Cost Printers.
4	Used for normal commercial transactions printing.	Used where high volume transactions printing is required like Banks etc.
5	DOT matrix printer is a character printer and it can print any style and size of Characters.	These are direct characters printers and can print only one style and size of character
