Difference between Intranet and Extranet

SN	Difference between Intranet and Extranet: Networks are used for sharing of information and resources and internet is a network of networks to share information and resources worldwide. Organization are increasingly using the internet technology to connect offices, customers etc for online processing of data etc. There are two important private network terminologies which are using internet for data communication one is intranet and other one is extranet.
	Intranet	Extranet
1	This is an inter organization network.	This is a network of organization plus the network of partner and associates.
2	This network uses internet technologies for data communication.	This network also uses internet technologies for data communication.
3	This network provides access to company server to only those persons belonging to same organization.	In this access to server (selected data) is allowed to even business partners also like to customers etc. Example banks networks
4	Access to company server is possible from anywhere in the world using internet.	In this also access to server is possible from anywhere in the world through internet.
